    CL65 veering to the left

Thanks - a quick scout around reveals I should get the bulged tyre replaced ASAP. I guess I should get the front 2 replaced at the same time?

    CL65 veering to the left

I've just had my 2004 W215 CL65 ABC pump replaced, and on driving home from the MB garage, I notice the vehicle wants to pull to the left (a little) unless you actively keep the steering wheel straight. The techs did point out a bulge on the front left tyre and suggested a replacement (I...

    Which CL to own

Result: This is exactly what I did! Beautiful car, the 2004 facelift model has plenty of toys inside that you're yet to find as standard in new cars (TV, MP3 CD, Distronic and all the usual luxuries...) And the engine? 0-60 as soon as you realise you've hit the accelerator - huge.

Cannot play MP3's in E-class W211 and AUX input

I currently play mp3s through a headphone jack to cassette tape adaptor, which works very well. However, if I update to a newer car with no tape, I am lost! I do own an FM transmitter but I find interference is just too much in London

Audi puts Mercedes S-Class "To Bed" in new A8 TV ad

I agree with most of the points about the S Class vs the Audi, but I think the advert will nonetheless have the desired effect - even if it is a cheap tactic to say "we're like what you know is brilliant but we reckon we're better"

    MB Approved Used

What do you think of buying Approved Used from a MB dealer? I think you pay a premium over other dealers, but for this I am guessing all the faults on the car will have been cleared up - or at least, honestly listed, which could save some repair costs in the long term. Anybody have any experience?

    Bloody pot holes!!!

The roads at the moment are a joke. I didn't know it would be so simple to apply for compensation - good luck!

    Help with a potential Purchase

Nice pics. I see your speedo goes up to 220mph - is this just a form of go faster stripe or is the car not limited to 155mph?

    Bloody merc drivers!

Probably worth letting the dealer have a check on the Park Assist there.

    Happy Birthday, Wikipedia...

I'd much rather that Wikipedia just took a few grand from Nike or McDonalds so that Jimmy Wales doesn't stare at me every time I use the site. Fair play to them for a noble effort, but surely taking the cash would enable them to acheive their aims more effectively.

    Which CL to own

An update, for those of you who are interested: Showed a couple of 2004 CL65 AMGs and CL600s to the Mrs, who commented that there are exactly the same as the one I have now. She couldn't see why a couple of turbochargers and an age gap of 3 years increases the price 4-fold, by £20 grand -...

    Which CL to own

Paying to maintain the one I have isn't as cheap as it sounds - if I want to keep it fully functioning without letting it decay, I will inevitibly be paying for a new pump here, a new lead there a couple of times a year - although I am not neccessarily looking to make the best value decision, as...

    Which CL to own

Thanks, you may be right - I am keen to stay with the super smooth V12, and 612 bhp? ouch...:D

    Help with a potential Purchase

I love owning and driving my CL600. However, be ready to pay top money for its upkeep; this is a luxury car, so enjoy it but don't buy it expecting a cheap ownership.

    Which CL to own

18 months ago I bought a 2001 CL600 (W215), after deciding this was the ultimate 2 door luxury car on the market. My dilemma now is this: Do I spend fortunes in the dealership keeping this in good condition, making expensive repairs as parts age and electronics retire, or Do I start...

    W215 undertray

Hello, Every time I have my 2001 CL600 in the MB dealer for servicing or repairs (too often), they report that the undertray is missing. It has been like this since I bought it over a year ago. Please can someone tell me the purpose of the undertray, and if there is any real drawback to it...
