I booked the test for next monday with my local garage. They are not Mercedes seller or anything, but they have all the STAR equipment as far as I know and their parking had a good few mercs every time I'm there. I'll see what they will come up with first, then see.

SBC unit, springs, make sure you're happy with the gearbox when its cold. They're known to have valeo trouble, search for more info in the forum. Then check for usual diesel expensive faults (turbo, injectors, blue smoke)

summing this up: w203 was eating a lot of oil, then had turbo fixed, but still consumed 1litre in 5000km. I wanted to find out if all this is normal now or should I still be looking for another problem anywhere. I'm convinced I can accept 1litre topup between services. I change oil every 10-12K
