    Cleaning exhaust tips

    Fine wire wool, tar remover and metal polish should bring them up nicely and a lot of elbow grease. If you would like to clean inside the pipes as well, then same process and finish off with a polishing cone, these make life a lot easier. 'Mothers' do a power cone which is pretty good.

    As someone else said, buy a drying towel an ultra fine microfibre. These work tremendously well and have enough depth of fibre so you should not get anything trapped in between the towel and the car. Far less invasive way of drying than a chamois.

    Morning chaps, Having a bit of a problem with my C200 Sport. The car will start fine for days on end, then suddenly just will not start. It will turn over but just not catch. Try again ten minutes later and the car starts fine. I've heard about CPS replacement, but are the symptoms...

    Hi Brendan, Give it a good clean up then apply a few coats of Gtechniq C4 Trim restorer. It is not a cheap option but a few coats should sort it out for you.

    Can always try vinegar and see what happens as this will sometime helps with marks, although as Dieselman says if they have been etched by a chemical it probably will not do you any good.

    Hi, Try Poorboys natural look dressing. I think it is a great product and also does not leave the interior shiny and sticky like some silicone based products.

    Hi Tom, I would give it a very good clean with APC, dry and give a good rub with a microfiber then treat with some Gtechniq C4 Permanent Trim Restorer. If you are anywhere near Kent then I'm happy to do it for you.
