An old leak has come back to annoy me. I believe the rubber pipe that feeds the fuel filter is leaking and needs replacing, have ordered the pipe, but its going to take 2 days to get to Mercedes (and £23!) Does anyone know of any tactical fixes while i wait for the part? Can I...

And it is intermittently blowing a lot of white out the rear. Not plooms of smoke, but very white. Oh, it also seems to be running rather rich. (smell)

Hi guys, My 124 has been losing water very quickly recently. Like a 20-30 mile journey. I have now also noticed that the car doesnt crank perfectly. Its misses, then fires. Worrying. Any ideas?

Are facelift panels on coupe and saloon the same?

Thanks a lot gents. kth286 - yes, the clips holding it to the lid had corroded and fallen off..AND YES, i actually like the look of the car without the insert. Although its probably just because it looks slightly different than before and still classic. In the short term, plate will be fixed...

Im being quite **** with this guys.....it is only surface bubbling....(about 4 or five very small bubbles at best) and really very minor, but its bugging me already. The bodyshop guy even suggested I leave it until its worse. So the question is really...leave it until it warrants some metal...

The rust was cut out 9 months ago....obviously the area wasnt properly treated to avoid me having to do this again.....want to ensure that the appropriate steps are taken the second time around.

Guys, I have in another thread asked for some advice on 'treating' minor surface rust in the rear arch of my C124. I've decided to get them stripped (again) 'rust treated' primered, base coated, painted and lacquered AGAIN. I then intend to get the car waxoyled and all the rest of that...

My local mechanic has confirmed that one of the pipes had sprung a leak. He has repaired the leak but confirmed that the pipe will need replacing pretty soon. Many thanks everyone.

Im definitely going to get the car fully done....however, in the immediate term i want to treat one rear arch, it is showing very slight signs of bubbling under the paint on the inside lip (no yet visible on the arch itself).... ...im going to use the waxoyl stuff in the interim...was just...
