Take the quoted 'value' of the wheels off and you're getting closer to the 'worth' of the car.

    W210 estate ride

I have an s reg e300 turbodiesel s210 elegance. I love it. The ride is comfortable and smooth. It can be / does get thrown into bends really quite hard and even though you might be getting a close-up view of the tarmac through the side windows, it's sure footed, solid and doesn't feel unsafe...

Lol. No mate. In bed by 10 me. It's the cheap second hand tyres thing. It always brings a good few posts...

    Decorating

You're not starting at the shallow end are you! If, before you size the walls, you give them a coat of watered down pva and then once dry, give them another coat of 'not as much watered down' pva, this will give, when dry, a good surface that remains slippy when sized, allowing easy adjustment...

    Automatic transmission fluid colour

I dipped my autobox the other day using the curtain wire method and it too contains perfectly clear, bright yellow fluid, to the correct level. I have an invoice in the car's history, from the main dealer in 2006, for a gearbox oil and filter change, yet everyone I speak to, including the same...

    Triumphant Herald

I've had many Triumph 2000's, 2500's and 2.5pi's throughout my motoring life. The 2.5pi cylinder head with the fuel injection can be bolted straight onto the 2000 unit. Install the electric fuel pump too. A revvy little thing and great fun!

    New pressure washer recommendations please

I bought a cheap Makita pressure washer 2 years ago after one of the lads mangled the cheap Woolworths one (it still works but the plastic fittings stripped their threads). I must say that for about £130 IIRC, it has been brilliant. We use them to strip 200 years' worth of lime paint from brick...

Advice needed on website and Domain name

Try these people: Zenesis Limited :: I have no interest in them but do know the owner (he is a client of mine). They appear to know their stuff.

    Is Costco worth joining?

We shop there once a month / 6 weeks and although it's a big outlay, it's cheaper in the long run. Just be aware of supermarket prices before you go. Not everything is cheaper! Mobil1 is only £30 or so, that's cheap. Foodstuffs not so cheap. Tyres are very expensive compared to my local fitter...

    Camping tips

Unless you have the carrying capacity for huge amounts of bedding to put between you and the mattress, avoid airbeds. It's a large block of air that saps all the warmth out of you. Get the biggest thermarest you can. They're warm, comfy, insulating and much less likely to puncture. Even a car...

    Cheap Tyres v. Expensive Tyres

I don't disagree, if I could afford to fit Michelins to my vehicles I would but I can't and so keep my vehicle above legal limits instead.
