How did you diagonise the timing chain needs to be done? Obviously,a check for the V belt. Take a look on your records,when you last serviced engine, if it is near due,do it.

Yes,it is because I installed it and could notice a more aggresive, diesel injector noise durning acceleration and the good thing about it is, you can swicth it on and off by remote control, you can feel the difference.
