Can you check the wiring on the car quad lock plug. Are the pairs in the same positions as the sot lead. Can you put a pic up of the sot plugged into the car

Vehicles with amps external to the main head unit have low current wiring for the head unit as not much power drain is taken by the unit. Fuse box for main permanent live Black/yellow at lighter socket for switched live

How are you playing music to test? Bluetooth streaming or iPod plugged in? Do you have spoken menus turned on? Do you have mute on streaming turned on? Do you get audio on phone calls? Are the speaker wires on the sot lead paired horizontally or vertically, and do the match on the car quad lock...

A VW loom will not be correct. If your adding your own amp then your prob better off just tapping into the +12 at the fuse box and use a factory earth point, ignition can be found at the fag lighter socket ( you'll prob find power connection at the head unit is not upto much as all the work is...

9060 is a great kit, do you want to be able to play music from your iPhone? If so then look at the parrot mki9200. I'd avoid the 9060 music as the interface is terrible. The mic would normally go up by the interior light
