Anyone running lpg on a late (ke jet) w126 v8? I fancy fiting myself (geting checked certified after), bit getting a lot of conflicting messages as to what systems wil work with the weird semi-electric mechanicak ke jet injection system. Would like to get some opinions from people who...

headrest, demister, central locking, causing hazzard lights to flash

no experience with the specific car, but usually when you have one switch/button effecting other stuff its an earth issue. easiest way to prove/rule that out is often to get a long earth strap and have a play with bolting it to stuff (i.e. engine to chassis, chassis to whatever earth point those...

    What Motors Have You Owned?

. pretty sure I've missed a couple, but heres my list from the last 12 years, ones in bold I still own: '89 mini mayfair (1.0) Renault 19 GTS (thought at the time GTS made it sound as though it was fast... worst "car" i've ever owned) '82 mini (850cc) mk4 Ford Escort 1.6 (****ewaggon - but...

    oh no... I just bought a 560SEC!

i know theres rust up in that area... at least up in the top of the boot, behind the vent hole. It sounds like decent repair panels are available though, and i'm getting pretty handy with a welder (I've got an '86 defender, so i've had to learn!)

    oh no... I just bought a 560SEC!

took her for a blast with "sport" transmission mode selected for the first time last night... certainly put a smile on my face! :) when i collected it it was snowing right across the country, and i drove it VERY sensibly the 5 hours (on a roads because of motorway closures) from norfolk to...

    oh no... I just bought a 560SEC!

i think the actual cloth is in ok condition, but all the glue has lost it's stick over the years, so its sagging and peeled off all over the place. I'll have a go at doing it myself, but should that not work out I'll try the chap.... how much is "not expensive" (pm if you like)?

    oh no... I just bought a 560SEC!

unfortunately theyre not decals - they're painted on (sides, bonnet stripes, and the center of the roof are all metalic grey). I've got a set of 16" staggered borbet A's i might try on it at some point... but i do quite like the Azev's too (tyres will be cheaper on the borbets though, as the...

    oh no... I just bought a 560SEC!

yeah thats the one, i didnt want it for that price, but it got relisted with a low enough reserve to make it worth a punt. like i say, its tatty (especially the headlining), plus i recon that rear panel below the windscreen might need doing.... but I'm pretty handy with a welder and spray glue!

    oh no... I just bought a 560SEC!

yeah thats what i was thinking, havent checked the weather strips yet, but the seal that attaches to the rear side window is £85 from MB in Bristol! I can get a used window with seal still attached for 60... so i might do that first so I've got a spare window.

    oh no... I just bought a 560SEC!

looks better than it is in truth, but i figure the private plate and wheels are probably worth 800 quid, so the way i see it it got a 560SEC for a grand :) Anyone know where i might be able to get a set of window seals? including the weather strips and the seals that attach vertically to the...

    oh no... I just bought a 560SEC!

hello everyone, I've been a member on here for a couple of years - but when i joined ia had a w210 e300td estate... got that running beautifully and then someone decided to drive into the side of it, pushing it 5ft, up the curb sideways, and into a wall (still drove afterwards though - what a...

om606 - delivery valves done... wont sart :(

never mind, i took that bit off and its a stop solenoid by the looks of it.... anyway, i replaced the old squared off o ring with a generic slightly oversize one, squashed it in, and all now working perfectly!! :) (i've parked uphill to see if it starts in a couple of hours)

om606 - delivery valves done... wont sart :(

ok, some progress - got it started by putting the feed pipe into a jerry can. so guess the combination of a lot of air in the lines and a probably past-it tank strainer meant it couldnt lift the fuel. i do now appear to still have a pretty big fuel leak coming from under the sideif the pump (i...

om606 - delivery valves done... wont sart :(

just a thought - I've still got the nsf corner lifted on a stand. could that make it too difficult for the lift pump to get fuel from the tank?

om606 - delivery valves done... wont sart :(

yep had pipes off, and prefilter is about a week old and clean.... I've not put a new tank filter in yet but i've got one ready. surely it would have started after 30min of cranking though if it were just an airlock? only starting issue i had before i did the delivery valve seals was after...

om606 - delivery valves done... wont sart :(

om606 - delivery valves done... wont sart :(

I had a bad fuel leak on my e300td om606 (caused by me not connecting the clear lines properly when i changed them).... so i figured that as i had to take of the intake mani again to do it, i may as well do the seals on the delivery valves while there (trying to sort out a longstanding air leak...
