    Help Please, 560SEC ECU needed

Finally picked a used one up from a chap by the name of Danny, "cars with stars". He had an F plate 560SEC and thankfully the ecu has the same part number. Fired the car up for me before he took the ecu off. £350 not cheap but almost the third of the price of a new one.

If jaymanek cannot help, you can call cars with stars on 020 8444 8771. Ask for Danny, I just picked up a second hand ecu from him from an F reg 560SEC. He's in Muswell Hill.

    New Collie pup

Bill you must be totally mad. We had enough trouble with one collie cross. Could hear a car door slam 4 miles away and start the others off. I just wish we still had those days. In the last five years we have gone fron three dogs and twelve cats to one youngish pup and three cats. One of which...

    Help Please, 560SEC ECU needed

Thank you Vlad, looks like you are my best hope. I spoke to one ECU repair place. He asked me for the Bosch part number which I did not have but said I would get. He than said if it starts with 0227 (which mine does) don't bother calling me back, they cannot be repaired. I will try ecu testing...

Brabus Smart Old and New Compared

How is that a manufacturer can make many improvements to their latest incarnation of the Smart Car yet screw up on not retaining the better bits from the earlier design. Overall the new Brabus is a much better drive over the old. In truth if I had to use the new car daily I could live with it...

Buying a new Brabus 4/2 Cab

Just an up date. Wrang Colidale today as they have an ex demo (presumably) for sale with 4000 miles on the clock. Buying a new Brabus 4/2 Cab

Hope everyone has been keeping well, apologies for not posting for a while. Finally got Kerry's Smart Brabus that kept cutting out on her sorted out. Fitted a new gearbox actuator, it is a block that sits external to the gearbox and no further cutting out issues have happened since. Anyway I...

    One Bad Copper..............

Not all are unreasonable. A couple of months back Kerry gets stopped by our finest bib. there is already a woman in a volvo xc90 argueing with another policeman. The chap pulls her over and asks her what is the speed limit. She is in the smart. 40mph she replies, bear in mind she has just left...

    Top Gear crashes GT-R

Nissan runs steel discs I believe. Had a good look at the R8 when we were out at the Le Mans Classic a few weeks back as one of the guys had one. Not impressed. Flat power delivery all the way through and watching it through the corners it was awful. The suspension just cannot control the body...

    Secret Data gathering

The american pick up truck that I use as my daily driver has the down load plug in facility. In the US you have the option to prove you are innocent by the plug in facility or to refuse. It is your choice and right to do so. This I find acceptable. In the UK you would not be given the choice...
