Interestingly Rorcus mine's stuck on hot in the passenger seat, so I dismantled the duovalve to clean it, but it was absolutely sparkling as if it was new... I dismantled the cabin pollen filter and cleaned out the leaves but it looks in good nick as well... Any other suggestions from anyone...

Yea mine's like Whitey's it'll mist up completely for 5 secs, but that's NOT GOOD when you're driving along as you can see absolutely nothing!! :-/ Does anyone know where the drains are to check if they are blocked? Is there a step-by-step 'How To' on it somewhere?

Yea it clears pretty fast once the heat warms the glass but I've had other cars with A/C and they didn't do this, but the air coming out of mine feels humid, which makes me suspect there's water somewhere that there shouldn't be. A/C should dry the air if anything... A/C in work annoys my...

My hot air coming in is damp and it steams up the windscreen initially. Parking the car in the evening after using the warm air, I come out to go home and there is heavy condensation at the lower parts of the windscreen directly above the air vents... Any suggestions on how to check out water in...

Good question... my SLK 230 is showing the same problem with the duovalves... Are they repairable or if they are hot and one side is blowing hot while the other blows cold is it just a replacement? Juls. :)

I converted my 2000 SLK 230 blades to flat ones without a conversion... Perhaps take yours off and try them on another car to check they are the same?

I tried to take a photo of them on... it's a bit dark but in my garage pics... It was very easy. I used self adhesive LED tape strips off eBay and have them come on with the sidelights and other interior lights and stay on. I got the feed from the light in the electric window switch next...

I'm hoping to do this with LED strips off eBay wired into the dome light (without using any MB parts). I've successfully done footwell ambient lighting for a fraction of the price which looks the part. :)
