are you sure dieselman? Surely that would mean i would be trying to move the bottom arm? Or do you split the joint from the bottom arm first? When i was trying it didn't look like i could get that one off first cause the hub is obstructing it?

I think he means he's done 200,000 dieselman. Mine is auto, as a merc should be lol. I get about 32 - 35 running around. More on motorway journeys but only about 36/37 because it's only a 4 speed auto and i like to drive fast.

i was whacking the hub off the ball joint not the other way round, cause the ball joint is still held firmly to the bottom arm and so hitting the thread would do no good.
