If i may suggest as has already been said, how about a Skoda Superb? can be had with 4x4 and tdi, also Est and Twindoor. With your budget you could get a Fully loaded L&K with lots left over, If you were thinking VW and Audi, i might be worth just popping in to your local dealer.

Think yourself lucky at 4 months. Some of the guys on the Briskoda forum are waiting on average about 6 months for factory orders on some Skoda's.

Have to say, my Skoda dealer changed my plate over for me, drove the old car in and picked up the new one. When i put my cherished plate on my bike on retension, took the doc's in to my local DVLA office on the thursday, had all doc's back by the following Friday. Just depends on how busy...
