Thanks for all the replies Went to Mercedes - got a genuine canister filter, with new O ring for the clip on, filled the filter with diesel, turned it over for approx 20 secs - and she's now fine. Many thanks for all your help

Hi I fitted a new canister type fuel filter to my ML270 CDI - now it won't start at all. Any advice please? I bought one fuel filter on-line and it was a different type to the one supplied by the Mercedes garage. Are there 2 fuel filters on a 270 CDI??? Would appreciate any help. Thanks

My ML 270 cdi has problems starting ... takes about 4 turns over in the morning when cold but always starts. When warm, might take 10 or 15 turns but does eventually start. Could this be the fuel filter needing changing? Owned it 5 years and always changed the oil and air filter but never...
