Busy few days! Removed a small amount of rust from the boot floor and stone chipped for future protection Also gave the car a good clean and polish: I have also made a decision.. i think its the right one! Looking at the E55 now all cleaned and polished there is not a great deal...

Received the replacement Prop shaft carrier and bearing today. Car is now back together and working as it should!

Drop the rear of the exhaust, unbolt the prop from the diff, the center carrier from the car and the whole thing will split and pull free

That's awesome, strangely my one is OK up there, just finished doing stone chip and the back end looks good!. The whole underside is pretty fresh actually.

It is really inconsistent. We had the whole front off the car and there was no rust on those bits. Cheap steel i think!
