Hi, my mercedes c180 manual wont rev over 4000rpm when stationary, but will when moving, is this normal or a fault, as I've just had someone come to view it as Im selling it and he said it was a major fault, someone please please help. Thankyou.

Sorry forgot to add, it revs up to around 1500 then drops. Been like it since Ive had it and Ive got used to it and it doesnt effect the driving at all, just annoying at first. Thats why its so cheap! And I need a Diesel.

Other than getting it plugged in for diagnostics, which Mercedes want £96 for the first hour then £106 each hour after (cheaper else where I know) Has anyone got a clue to this as the lag has got worse now aswell.

Well I tried the maf by unplugging it, and it ran worse. So it cant be that........any other ideas I can try, this is doing my head in now, anyone got any ideas please!
