I think the 230 CE had a similar change over date. Sometime around 1988 they went from simplex to duplex. The 190 is such a sweet car, and it feels like it's built out of solid.:rock:

Hi People Well after accidentally buying a 1993 190E on ebay, I've become a massive fan of the older Mercedes cars. The 190E 2.0 is just wonderful. :) So here's the thing, I've just bought a 1988 230CE. I haven't picked it up yet, so I don't know if it has a single or double row timing...
