    Right, nice and dark, so I've just been out there. Given the Trip Meter button a few good twists, but no change, dash remains stubbornly dark! The glovebox light is on as is the auto transmission selector position light, so I assume that there is power there. I'll have to investigate...

    Another update - I noticed that the drivers tumbler was not moving at all in the barrel, so I put a good supply of WD40 in and tried it again. No joy. For fear of breaking the key, I used a large flat bladed screwdriver (gently!) and it moved! I then put the key in and it moved all the way...

    As an interim "solvent" I squirted some WD40 in the drivers and passenger locks. Very pleasantly, the passenger lock now works, although the drivers lock remains stubborn! :bannana: A removal and proper degrease coming up, but it looks like I do have the right set of keys as they both work...

    Hello, I have just become the owner of a 1985 230TE. I have a key to the ignition and one to the tailgate, but nothing for the passenger and drivers door! :crazy: Can anyone suggest a reasonably priced source? Cheers Peter
