    Biker Pulls Wheely Overtaking Me

This is mainly done because travelling in a straight line for ages ruins the curve on the tyres producing a flat spot in the middle. By weaving left and right you can maintain a better tyre shape, increase the number of miles you get out of said tyre which in turn must be better for the...

    Breaking 2005 SL55

Well, what can I say, its an end of an era for me. My much loved and cherished SL55 has come to a sudden end. That dam tree was not there last time I swear. :wallbash: Anyway, there is no way I could let the insurance company have it so I’m now breaking it for spares. I have owned the vehicle...

R230 SL Headlamp direction if driving on the Continent?

There is a small lever which moves a flap, effectively flattening the beam. They are quite fiddley and can easily be broken. I normally get my MB specialist to do it for me.

    w211 lowering links

My understanding of using Star was that although you could adjust the height it has to be within the manufactures pre-configured range. This gives you very little to play with, its more to adjust a slight fault than to actually adjust the standard ride height. Could be wrong though.

    w211 lowering links

I installed the LoMo M1 Lowering Module in my R230 which is a very nice although more expensive alternative. I assume it would work in other models, it has +/- settings front and rear independently (8 Levels) and is controlled from the steering wheel buttons. It resets to factory height at a...

    18" SL55 Turbines - Trade for your 17" wheels?

Please can you confirm the actual wheel sizes ? Only the SL55 would normally have 285x35 on the rear and 255x40 on the front. If the tyres you mention were fitted to these rims they would be pretty stretched. Thanks.

    Just bought 2007 SL55 - first steps

I purchased mine with 37k, it’s now done 108k. My advice, get a good warranty, I use WarrantyWise, normally costs me just over £1k a year but so far it's always paid out more :-). But most of all, use it..... Don’t let it sit around for long periods.
