In the States were almost every car is an automatic, this brake is refered to as the EMERGENCY BRAKE, even in the owners manuals, so is never applied by anybody just for parking. After I returned to the UK after 20 years over there I always just stick it in park out of habit even on steep hills.

hi Nik_Endeavour, you will need the EPC (electronic parts catelogue) program in order to get the same as the detali.ru website. That site http://www.detali.ru/cat/oem_mb0.asp?TP=1 is really the Mercedes EPC program just posted on the web, but without the ability to lookup the part numbers.

Just got back from a 2300 mile drive around Reims and Normandy myself. All I can say is buy an S class, beautiful quiet ride, and soft aircooled leather seats. Only downside was all the parking slots in France seemed to be designed to fit a smart car. :rolleyes:
