They work fine manually, just when on auto they don't switch the dipped beam on

Hi all....... I have a strange fault with my C320 W203. When I select auto lights and its dark I only get the side lights come on and no dipped beam. Any ideas what this could be? is it as simple as a knackered switch or could it be something more complex? Thanks in advance! Mike :D

That's great, many thanks for the reply. We've got a c220 CDI as well which I've put an alpine head unit in and I still have the original. My try swapping it over when it stops raining :-) Thanks!

The stereo is an audio 10, cassette player with 6 disk auto changer in glove box. Where would I find the amp if there's one fitted?
