I have a 2000 ml 270CDi... In neutral, for the MOT test, and also in kickdown, it maxes out @ 4000 RPM... Occasionally when flooring it from the lights, it will hit about 4800/4900 RPM before changing up into 2nd, but ONLY on the 1st/2nd change.... And very rarely... Was browsing the 2005...

Well, after all the faults being repaired on my ML - Just got it back after a month at the stealer - all 5 injectors fitted with new seals (again) - apparently they have modified the seal to a compressible washer from the original solid one.... Also the EXPENSIVE alternator replacement...

Have notced a few failed turbo threads, andit seems to have something to do with the EGR allowing muck to clog the moving vanes/actuator - One person mentions running a C220 Cdi with EGR turned off, how can this be done?? BTW does the 270 Cdi have a variable vane turbo or a traditional...
