My delivery for the c350 BE Coupe has been pushes forward and rather than the new yr am now getting it this Wednesday so will post back with photos and a review including economy in due course.

Thanks for that, I plan to have the 'legal' set made by MB safely in the boot as you said so am hoping like many others out there that I don't have any problems. And hey, if/when I do then I'll happily switch over. Until then I'll take my chances.

Forgive my naivety but what would an advisory at an MOT entail? Also, could you fail your MOT if the spacing is off?

Really sorry to hear that mate. It seems when reading through these forums all you read are the myriad problems that MB have! I suppose it is a forum after all where you're going to hear pleas for help rather than stories about how well it's all going etc. All the best getting your motor fixed.
