Hi everyone. The 'feared' 722.5 transmission in my 94 w140 has let go. It was showing signs of wear, occasional reluctant reverse... but after breaking a driveshaft upon hard acceleration it seems its finished it off ( goes into D or R but cant shift up at all, checked the kickdown switch...

apart from rust scabs on early ones, little niggles like water in rear wheel speed sensor plugs and sticking micro switches for the roof, they are bullet proof little cars. looking for one for my missus. too cramped for me to squeeze into though!

My missus drives this w202, only a c180, but another low mileage one owner car for little money, part exchanged at my place of work.

Thanks, I bought a second hand Powerflow cat back system off ebay, I ll get round to fitting it soon. Its had a new grille and towing eye cover since this pic:rolleyes:
