    ECO -Start/Stop button

I'm not sure that I would call the green eco light being off as a "malfunction". There are a number of criteria that must be met before the car allows stop/start to operate. These include battery charge/condition good, doors closed, driver's and front passenger's (if there is one) seatbelts...

    ECO -Start/Stop button

What is the evidence to support this? I have two MBs with stop/start. Both are 2011 cars. One still has its original battery and I changed the other's battery about a year ago because I thought I should after 10 years. Engine mounts, starter motors, chain tensioners are original on both cars...

    W204 suspension/bearing noise?

When you say that you changed the wheel, what do you mean? If the wheel is any different the wheel bolts might be too long and grating against the parking brake inside the brake disk.

Best value OBD scanner / P2200

Many people on here have iCarsoft OBD scanners. There are specific MB ones or models that cover multiple car brands which are a bit more expensive. There is an MB V2 or V3 for about £150. Not cheap but good value and will pay for itself with the first job it is used for!! Be careful not to buy a...

    W212 eclass rear coil spring

If you are buying a new spring from a mail dealer, all they need is the model code (e.g. W212) and the colour codes.

    Rust prevention

I would add the rear subframe to the list of areas for rust protection attention.

    S212 Corroded Brake Line

It depends where the brake pipe is corroded. If it is the area that is nearest to the wheel (and it normally is) then you could just cut out the corroded section, put in a new length and join it to the existing pipe.

    Another air matic problem S212

You could check the level sensors too. They can break - there is a plastic arm that connects the sensor to the suspension. When the warning message appeared did the suspension look like it was at the correct height? It is worth measuring the height of the wheel arch from the ground on both sides...

    W204 C220 CDI 2011 ABS Light

Yes, the iCarsoft MB V2 will read the codes and will show you the speed values for each wheel as you drive so that you can identify the culprit corner.

How serious is Mercedes C class subframe failure?

Great that it is being replaced FOC. Hopefully you will only have to wait a couple of weeks. By the way, I got a 4 wheel alignment done straight after the rear subframe was replaced -- which I would recommend. The outside of my front tyres were being scrubbed even before the rear subframe issue...

Lidl Electric Oil Extractor ( Problem for W211`s ? )

Isn't there a positive 12 volt terminal under the bonnet on the W211? I thought there was one - under a sliding cover on the RHS as you are looking into the engine from the front. There also is an earth terminal on the top of the suspension mount for the -ve terminal.

    S212 rear air suspension

Also, you say it is a new car (to you). Could you go back to the seller and get them to fix it?

    S212 rear air suspension

Hi, The problem is that the rubber air suspension units are going to be left in a deflated state. The rubber can crack -- a bit like leaving a punctured tyre for 3 weeks. If you are lucky it will just be a leaky airline or the level sensors. I don't know the age of your car but given that it...

How serious is Mercedes C class subframe failure?

I was told much the same regarding the up to 3 months. In the end it was closer to 2 weeks !!

How serious is Mercedes C class subframe failure?

Bring it to a main MB dealer. My rear subframe was rusted and MB replaced it FOC. My car was also a UK import and it didn't have a full main dealer service history.

W211 E220 - "ESP inoperative see owners manual" + "run flat indicator inoperative"

It could be a reluctor ring but I would start by looking for a failed speed sensor. It is a more expensive part than the reluctor ring but much, much easier to replace. You MB2 will show you which wheel isn't showing the speed and therefore is the culprit.

R class rear air suspension (non airmatic)

Hmmmm, I bought and fitted Aerosus air suspension units to my S212 over 4 years ago and not had an issue since then. The original units were just over 5 years old when they failed so the Aerosus suspension are looking like they will last longer than the originals !!

R class rear air suspension (non airmatic)

I found that my S212 with rear air suspension would drop inconsistently. I think it was cold weather related but if I left the car for a few days or a week without use both sides would drop completely. I looked up prices for rear air suspension units for an R Class from Aerosus and they are...

Brake pads and disc genuine or brembo

I'm not justifying anything. I am just correcting your statement regarding larger diameter rear disks vs. front disks. Comparing brake sizes on one model against another is a completely different point.

Brake pads and disc genuine or brembo

The larger rear disks only have a bigger total diameter because the parking brake is incorporated inside them. However, the actual braking disk area is much bigger in the front. The front pads are almost 50% bigger in height and 20% bigger in width compared to the rear.
