I also have an 1970's Aston V8 and in the Aston world, engine mods and upgrades are quite common, most DB5's when undergoing restoration have the engine upgraded to 4.2l with electronic ignition and suspension and brake upgrades. I get 16-18mpg commuting in my 6.2 E63. Highly dependent on the traffic. Maybe 22 on a long run. Its still well worth it though :thumb:

They are two piece 'floating' discs. These are apparently better in that they allow the friction ring to expand and contract whilst not affecting the center section. This prevents disc warping and provides better centering No one makes reproductions (at least this side of the atlantic)...

Just had my E63 serviced at MB Aberdeen (now Arnold Clark). Was a C service, at 46k miles. Provided my own oil, and had alreday changed the air and cabin filters myself (I knew they were due). Cost was £301, only slightly more than the wife's Lexus!
