    PIP woes

I was on Motability for 10 years, latterly for 4½ years I have had a B200 B Class. I have just been assessed by DWP/PIP and the B Class now has to go back. I'm appealing etc but the car goes anyway, even before the appeals. Naturally I'm very very unhappy, but it has been a good 4½...

My fight with Mercedes Benz over a Seat belt.....

One of the rear seat belts on my B Class was damaged with the rear seats being put up and down and catching and ripping. Cost quite a lot for a new MB belt and it had to be done as it was an MOT fail. My fault and my expence, should have been more careful. P.

    A or B Class

You are supposed to put a couple of extra psi in when the car is heavily loaded, yes? I have a mk2 B class and love it. When the new A class came out I went and had a good climb all over. It was very familiar but noticeably smaller. I'm 6ft 4 and I kept banging and bumping on things...

    Disappointing new car experience

I'm a Motability customer. In practice that means you end up with some silly bimbo, more interested in checking her mobile, with little car knowledge at all. The last one was unable to really assist me when going through the options leaving me missing at least one option I have really missed...

    Automatic Toll Payment Device

I keep my Sanef tag thingy in the glove whatsit, and just pull it out and wave it in the middle of the screen when needed. P.

    Millie my dog

Mine's an old Golden Lab Mine's an old 14yr Golden Lab. He likes to sit in my B Class. There is a well secured fitted metal rear guard, a MB/fitted placky tray and a boot size mattress. He likes to lie/stand in the opening watching the world. When I say 'nose' he promptly moves back so I can...

Chris Evans - Top Gear Host

Apart from the noise, what got me was the sight of her hanging grimly to the steering wheel whilst her arms were sooo crossed up. P.

    Replacing windscreen wipers.

I have a Mercedes Benz B Class (W246), now nearly 3 years old. It belongs to Motability, the whole deal has been very good for me and they are an excellent and understanding people. Because of the relatively small mileage I am extending the lease to the maximum 5 years. It is quite well...

    How not to.......

Nope, but I CAN say Sexist Pig, and there is an excellent track from the period (late 60/early 70's) by Country Joe McDonald. Into The Fray ? Country Joe McDonald ? Listen and discover music at Last.fm P.

    How not to.......

I bought a new 'B' Class through the Motability scheme. There are a couple of youngsters who are responsible for Motability customers. They are rather young and useless, albeit one is fairly cute. I was entirely unable to get more than a quick run down the road (in Croydon!) for the road test...

B Class auto rolls back on the hill

B Class (W246) B200 manual. 2012. Mine does all that auto brake stuff. VERY handy for getting your foot onto the correct pedal especially with steep hills etc. Only lasts a few seconds though, and goes off automagically if you apply drive to the wheels. No more of that dexterity with two...

    Headlight switching for Europe (LHD).

A little while ago I took a just run-in Ford C-Max down to just below Cadiz. I used the standard stick-on deflectors (Halfords). The heat (and possibly the freshness) caused the plastic lenses to start to soften leaving marks which never recovered.

Cyclist touching my car... what's your opinion?

Back in the seventies I used to ride around central london on my bike a lot. You got some really good reactions from the 'shiny limo' brigade when a large sweaty hand rested on their highly polished motors. And all they could do is toot and gesticulate, no chance of opening doors in west end...

    Dog hair and MB's

Lint rollers are OK for clothes, but that material in the boot is a magnet for dog hair. The hand/sticky tape trick also works on small light areas. P.

    pinking noise

I have a 2012 B Class W246. The diesel engine, the larger MB sourced motor makes a clattering/pinking noise particularly when it is pulling hard uphill. It sounds like a pinking noise (from when I was driving proper petrol engined vehicles) Should I contact MB or is this normal? It goes...

    Dog hair and MB's

I have a newish B Class W246. It has a black interior with a black furry boot. Why do MB use such a hair magnet material in their boot lining? You would think they would have tested the materials, surely I'm the only person to have a dog sitting in the boot. It doesn't help that the dog, a...

    French Toll Road Sanef Tag

Us and Sanef tags Took up the offer on the Eurotunnel website. Us two and the dog. Drove down to Cannes for a party, and back, 1600 +summat miles. Excellent easy experience. Just held up the tag in the windscreen, not too high, not too low, in the middle. No need to 'stick it' anywhere. At the...

    Mice Attack Wiring Loom

Here in inner city London I had a rats nest in the engine. The car lives outside on a parking area, and was not driven regularly. Worst part was the smell.
