    E63 Running Costs

I have to say its probably one of the best cars I've owned, I opted for the estate as I have two young children and a dog. For a car with so much performance it is very happy to tootle a long in traffic when the family is on board and equally if I'm on my own and a nice bit of road comes a long...

    E63 Running Costs

No, a stone hit it on a run up the A1, it was not covered by my insurance company either under glass/windscreen, which was a lesson learned in it's self!! The insurance classed it as a body panel and by the time I paid my excess and the increase of insurance premium it wasn't worth it for me.

    E63 Running Costs

I have a 2012 E63 and in May it was 1 year old. It now has 13,000 miles on the clock as I do around 1,000 miles a month. In the last 12 months my costs have been; Road tax £470 Fuel £3,380 (approx) Insurance £440 Two rear tyres £550 (lasted 9,000 miles) Service £480 (service plan £40 per month)...

    Lesson learned

I will try put some words together at the weekend, won't take any pics at the mo though as I tend to use cars as cars and can't remember the last time I washed it!

new e63 ordered. what colour shall I get

When I ordered mine I was going for red with pano roof, black alloys and tinted glass, instead I ended up with white, regretted it everyday since. For me it does not stand out enough, almost every E class you see these days is white or silver/grey. However never regretted buying an E63 though!

    Lesson learned

Well that's a lesson learned for me, last weekend while travelling up the A1 a large stone hit the smaller of the three sections of my panoramic roof, shattering it. I had assumed the roof would be covered by the insurance as glass and the window screen excess would apply, as it turns out my...

Fitting a tow bar to an E63 estate??

Just had a conversation with MB discussing the comments raised here and they have said if a third party fits a tow bar it will 'cause problems' with my warranty, MB will not fit one as they say it can't be done. So all in all I think I am going to knock it on the head, I thought when they first...

Fitting a tow bar to an E63 estate??

Hadn't even thought of that one, and having just looked on eBay at some of the prices may go down this route, looking at all the comments it's looking a mine field, I've seen a tidy looking v8 Landrover Discovery on there which could fit the bill. Will wait until the towbar guys get back to me...

Fitting a tow bar to an E63 estate??

I am wanting to tow a car on a trailer to track days and wanted to use the E63 to tow this as I only have a small Ford Focus or Peugeot Partner van and feel they would both be too small to pull a car on a trailer. My problem is when I went to MB to get a tow bar fitted they say it can't be done...

    MB of Boston

No worries will check it out, if there's anything in paticular you need to know let me know. I know the manager at the Lincoln branch personally so could probably get you a good deal too. He looked after me with my E63 purchase. I can send you his details if you decide to take it further.

Buying a new car without test drive

I bought mine without even seeing one in the flesh let alone driving one, took 5 months to arrive and I must admit it has taken a few months to get to like the car, the problem with reviews are they can built up your expectations too high! Hope you enjoy it when it arrives.

    E63 leasing

I got my E63 Estate from Listers in Lincoln, they did me a very good deal. I pay around £750 a month, took nearly 5 months from order to delivery though! My accountant suggested HP rather than leasing and you still have the option to give it back at the end of the term or pay the balloon payment.

    62-regs out soon

I had a look when I got my E63, anything with MB and AMG on is worth loads you could get E62 AMG for £400 then E63 AMG for £4000, they are not daft!!

    98 or 97 ron petrol?

I put a tank full of 95 RON in a few weeks ago, did it without thinking what I was doing, the car ran like a pig, it was terrible around town. I only now put in 99 RON, our local Tesco do one and with the 5p a litre off at the minute I am buying it for just £1.34 per litre so not too bad.

    Advice on problem with E63

So far the car has been awesome, I wanted a car that would carry two kids a wife and the dog at the weekend and also have some fun in the week when traveling alone, this car ticked all the boxes, I'm still to really see what it can do (still running in) but so far it handles the weekend work...

    Advice on problem with E63

Hi guys, I am currently running in my E63 and have a problem which I am concerned about. I have reported to the dealer and waiting for them to get back to me but I thought I would also ask the question here to see if anyone had had a similar problem in the past, I don't want it to be back and...

    It shouldn't feel good but.......

I have 300 miles left which will complete my 1000 run in miles and should be able to start letting the horses loose. Must admit though there has been the odd occasion that I just could not resist. :)
