I have just taken out a Audio 10 & 6 CD Changer from my CLK and I was about to put them on Ebay, if your interested :D

Took it to a local Merc Specialist who said that it is a known fault, they fitted a Modified Air Bag Repair Kit. Now working perfectly total cost £118 :)

Check your wiring under the passenger seat, I find that if the seat is in the maximum forward position the carpet mat disrupts the cabling below the seat and sometimes completely stops the passenger seat from working.

Managed to remove CD Changer strip it down and discovered previous owner had a CD stuck the mechanism, manged to get the magazine out! and put it all back to together and it is now working! :)

Thanks for all the help guys, I now have a '53 CLK320 Convertible great condition inside & out for its age with only 60k miles :). So far all electrics are working as they should. Have a problem with the cd changer in the glove compartment, the magazine seems to be jammed as it won't eject, so...

Thanks for all the tips guys, but that car has now been sold :o but I have now found a CLK 320 '53 instead! :) Hopefully going test drive it Fri/Sat
