    Assistance with airmatic shock purchasing

Hi all, This week my w220 cdi 320 (2001 my) took a dive and popped the osf shock. It's been leaking a small amount for a while but its gone for good now. Appear to be original and at 14 years and 150,000 miles, its not too bad eh, but I wonder if anyone can offer any guidance on the below...

Date setting problem on s class w220?

Bump, did you ever find a solution? I had to change my clock today as it lost an hour over the weekend. My date is October 2095 now, and I can't get it changed. Crazy satellites or these command units overly optimistic about how long they'll live for?

recommended coils & leads for r170 slk 230

Cheers for this slknick, i think they'll be ok then, no strain on them, just long enough, but a cm less and I'd have to remove the cable holder plastic bit, as that would be too much to take. Cheers for confirming, always good to have a second opion for peace of mind. Now I need to get finding...

recommended coils & leads for r170 slk 230

Satbasi, I've never seen or worked on a 140, my only experience with mercs is the 2 that I presently have, but that said the job above on the r170 was a doddle. Litterally 4 external torx bolts (2 per coil) to remove and the rest just pulls apart. On the slk (and all other petrol cars I've ever...

recommended coils & leads for r170 slk 230

So the 2 flying leads arrived today (the ones for cylinders 1 & 3), fitted and runs fine, but, they are significantly shorter than the ones I've taken off, ie 6,7 inches shorter. Is this a problem? Should I take them off? Or does the length difference not matter? Know electric flows fast, but...

recommended coils & leads for r170 slk 230

O, so just the pre facelift ones get stung, how nice of them. Happened to find a code for gsf that have 35% off, so picked up 2 new remi (Or something like that) coils, 2 of beru caps (the ones to coils) and some roll bar bushes up today, for a total of £91 No one around here had the other...

recommended coils & leads for r170 slk 230

Got a quote from merc; Coil to plug straight down boots - £23 for pair Standalone leads - £26 for pair Lead to plug caps (for cylinders 1 & 3) - £69 for pair - bit of a step up on the above! Coils (thought to get a quote whilst at it) - £111 each. So definitely going elsewhere for the coils...

Tim, do you know if these little pipes in the box can be removed safely then? Also, is that white paper gasket for the valve thingy needed? As I haven't got one and reassembled without it. Thanks, Upex

    W202 230K Airbox Photos

Sorry to bump, but relates to this post. Yesterday I replaced the air oil separator and all its tubing, as the old one was gunned up bad. Took out all the pipe work, air filter box, intercooler, maf, all the way to the intake manifold (will clean that after I've put some seafoam through her)...

recommended coils & leads for r170 slk 230

Cheers both, will get looking and pick up the parts. Gotta head to merc soon as they forgot to sell me the bung for one of the slk air oil separator pipes (one that goes to airbox) and I need some power steering fluid (£120 for both cars, ouch) so will pick some up then. Thanks both

Hi all, Been searching for past few weeks and struggling. Want to change the coils and leads/boots on the wife's slk as they old and she gets the odd misfire on cylinder 1. Anyone have any recommendations of which to (Or not to) get and from where? Found several places for the coils, but...

    ref gearbox oil change

I did the wife's SLK r170 today, at 159,000 miles. No history from previous changes, but the locking pin was red, so that's been out at some point. The oil was old and brown and I expect long overdue, perhaps should be on its 3Rd of 4th 'life' now. I've used the 134 fluid from the dealer with...

r170 230 slk issue with ball joints, steering drag link or something else?

Well, I was changing out the atf today so took off the old steering damper, and boy was it shot! No resistance for 7/8 of it, the only resistance was weak and in the last 8th before fully closed and when I compressed that by hand, easily, the remaining oil squirted out all over me. Put the new...
