    560 sec front ride height

Just had new front shocks replaced and the car is sitting really high, what causes this? Could the new shocks be too long?

    560 sec leveling valve

Would air in the system cause the rear end not to rise when weight was added to the boot or is that something wrong with the valve?

    560 sec leveling valve

Thanks for the detailed analysis. If the valve is the only component that regulates ride height and pressure to the hydraulic rams where is that escaping to when revs are reduced could the rams be bad or springs be weak?

    560 sec leveling valve

I was talking bout the arm that's fixed and sits parallel above the valve on the sway bar is it supposed to not move at all. I've noticed there's a bit of play when lying underneath and grabbing the rear end and rocking it up and down I don't remember that part moving a while back when I...

    560 sec leveling valve

So if the rear is staying the same height and the front is changing height when at speed then it must be the valve? I've also noticed if I park on slope facing down turn the engine off the front sits lower to where it should be. Internal leak in the shocks maybe?

    560 sec leveling valve

Just changed the valve due to the arm on it breaking. The car now seems to sit normal at the rear when stationary but the front sits high. when the car gets up to 40/50 mph the front seems to go lower making the rear seem higher. Is the valve the only thing that maintains pressure to the...

    560 SEC sls spheres

Funnily enough I had recently had the reverse problem, suspension fluid leaking into the engine block. Pumps rear seal had gone. I swapped it out with a rebuilt one, I would assume the sls fluid would be warm/hot due to the pump sitting directly to the engine block ?

    560 SEC sls spheres

Is the ride complaint over larger undulations and crashy over sharp bumps, or is it solid feeling all the time? I used genuine Mercedes. Ride seems to be like you say compliant over large undulations and harsh over sharp bumps shock bushings maybe?

So it's possible dirty fluid could affect the ride?

    560 SEC sls spheres

I noticed the fluid is kind of black, it was changed about 18 months ago. What would cause it to turn dark? Also is there any chance there could be air trapped in the top of the rams?

    560 SEC sls spheres

There is bounce, feels a bit stiff though like something's binding. Regarding ride height, I get 2 fingers underneath each wheel arch and tire.

    560 SEC sls spheres

Just installed new spheres and the car rides just like before, hard as nails! Do they have a shelf life or could it be the rams ?
