I wash my 190 every weekend and generally spend 2-3 hours on it. Usually a 2 bucket wash, dry and a good coating of Sonax sealant. Then wheels washed and sealed, tyres dressed, interior hoovered, glass cleaned and a quick clean up of the engine bay. If I haven't got time it's sometimes only...

What a helmet! I have nothing against cyclists in general, I used to cycle everywhere before passing my test and my dad is a keen cyclist. But some of them are just out there to cause an argument. I very much doubt he would have approached the car with that attitude if it had been a bloke driving.

I unfortunately got caught in late 2014 in my Alfa Romeo GT. Coming out of Greenlaw in the Scottish Borders, heading for Berwick, there is a long open straight section. Stuck behind a 5-series and a tractor, I dropped it into 3rd and booted it. Perfectly safe manoeuvre, no traffic coming at all...

This is epic! Always quite fancied doing an OM606 conversion to a 190 2.6 shell. Does anyone know how much this conversion costs in parts (for the W124 that is)?

I bought a service kit from MB Coldstream for my 190E and asked for a quote for 5l of their 10w-40 Semi Synthetic. £90!!! :eek: I got some Mobil oil from Halfrauds instead for £18.

Thanks for all the helpful replies guys! I think I will go with either the Newcastle or Hull, will make it a far more relaxing trip. And thanks for the Hockenheim warning! I will see what's on at the various tracks nearer the time.

So I'm planning a road trip to Unterturkeim in Stuttgart at somepoint this year to visit the MB museum, factory and Gottlieb Daimler memorial and probably make a trip to Hockenheim whilst I'm over there. I could just get a flight out and go for a long weekend but I'd love to take the 190 to it's...

It's a shame about this show, I was really looking forward to it starting but was very disappointed. I don't usually dislike Quentin, but his appalling jokes and presentation on the show makes it almost cringy. The show is very repetitive as well and left me bored after a couple of episodes.

Ahh okay I know the one you mean. Yeah North Berwick and Dunbar used to be fantastic and popular holiday destinations, not so much anymore. I stay a couple of miles from Thorntonloch, in Oldhamstocks. You soon get used to the site of Torness!

Yeah the Marine is a Macdonald hotel and is a good one with a nice view but you're right, last time I was there it was a bit out of date.

Good thing I never stopped to speak to him then haha! I was going to chap on his door and ask about it but it's been sitting for years, so being a W210 will probably be currently held together with tape! Thats a shame about the SEL, I think I know the hotel you mean but can't remember the name...

I was just wondering if anyone on here owns the silver E55 AMG (W210) that sits near Tantallon Castle just outside North Berwick. I always look at it every time I drive past but it doesn't ever seem to move. :(
