Hi All just to let let you know in case anyone has same problem,, It was solved by an Indy in Mansfield who was recommended to me,, it turned out to be the fuel pump relay £8.00 , happy days :)

As an Edit, this has been intermittent last couple of weeks, but has got worse since new fuel filter, started fine this morning drove to lincoln, then took 6 attempts to get started to come home, seems to be doing less MPG also

Hi All , I have a 54 plate C220 cdi, sometimes I will not hear the "gurgle" when first turning on ignition and then the car will turn over and not start, had a new fuel filter yesterday made the problem worse if anything, does anyone have an idea what it could be please, any help appreciated tyi .

If it was definatly super glue,then wet with warm water on a small sponge and get it nice and damp and with luck it should wipe off fairly easy, Super Glue does not like water:)

I had one go on mine, when I was in D at stop I kept hearing a knocking:dk: it sounded like something rattling about in the crossmember, that turned out to be engine mount, so I had both replaced, mine are the oil filled one's.

A bit more info- when I first start driving in the morning no noise for about 2 mile's, then it is there from stop onwards.

Hi All, I've got a puzzle going on with my 124, got a noise like whining/wind rush, and I did notice that when I cornered hard left it dissapeared for about 50 yards then came back, so thought the obvious and had all the front wheel bearing's replaced, (inner and outer) But the noise is still...

The resistor could be a possibility, But they are expensive new from MB, I am not sure how the fan speed switch works but it could be a contender, hopefully someone will soon be along with a definate answer

Hi Steve, Rob was my first port of call, he said grey is quite difficult to get for a saloon, would be easy if I had a coupe! I have seen a couple but one lot was electric (mine is manual) and the other was crap..
