    Unusual CLS55

I'm guessing that they are a lot more usable than they look, I have never noticed these buttons before. I guess it's halfway house between paddles and using the shifter, also not the fastest box so probably doesn't matter a whole lot

    Unusual CLS55

They look like a + and - but look more like screws than buttons, am I missing something?

    Car Inverter?

I'm not sure the charger requires the input power people are suggesting. I think if you use the 100v x 3.6a that gives 360w that is more like it. As the psu has an output of 230w that means only 130w is lost as heat vs ~500w of heat as suggested above. I would assume at 240v it doesn't draw...

Which locking pliers do people recommend?

An assortment of these is an essential part of any tool kit but also the wrong tool for every job :p

    Bodywork welders west London area

This is good to know, the place that wanted to patch it said the fuel tank needed to be removed for the welding but from the impression I got i don't think they would have known about the fuel pipe

    W124 M104 E320 not starting.

You mention that the fuel pumps run when you bridge the relay, I take it that you tried to start the car with the relay bridged?

    Used Shock absorbers W245?

"The W245 was supplied in either sport or SE, I had the sport with 17" wheels and quite stiff suspension, it was not recommended to change over to a "softer" suspension. As said, buy the correct suspension struts for your car." Why is this, I imagine mixing sports and comfort springs/ shocks...

    Used Shock absorbers W245?

As above, makes no sense to buy used shocks, even more so if you are paying for the labour.

    Boroscopes

After reading peoples comments I decided to dig mine out. It isn't as bad as I initially made out, I think I have just been spoiled by the quality of phone cameras. For the price the image is acceptable, I found the built in lights need to be set quite low to avoid lens flare. I imagine for a...

    Boroscopes

I have one exactly like that, the resolution is very low and low light performance is pretty poor even with the lights. I think mine came with a mirror that didn't add any extra width. I think it's a case of getting what you pay for, it's better than nothing but not by a whole lot. For a...

    Delphi Ceramic Brake Pads?

Useful stuff Having only come across organic and sintered it seems like ceramic should be the default option for road use.

    Delphi Ceramic Brake Pads?

That's interesting, I'm guessing that they must wear a bit faster than regular pads but the dust they produce doesn't bind to wheels

    Eurobrake brake pads?

The mx5 is the least powerful car I have owned yet probably most fun on the road.

    Eurobrake brake pads?

Ahh, when did that happen? As I said I have always been impressed with them, and the only track work I have done is on the mx5 and that doesn't have the power/weight/ grip to give brakes a hard time

    Eurobrake brake pads?

Hi Ashlee, Don't want to high jack the thread but what are your view on Pagid. They tend to be my default option. I have found them pretty good qualiy, the discs seem to be zinc coated and wear well. I don't tend to drive in a way that will induce brake fade so ultimate performed isn't a key...
