I have a fault with my whole n/s/f light unit not working. I want to check connections on the passenger SAM, I've searched Google for 45 minutes and can't find a definitive answer. Could one of you kind people please enlighten me. Thanks.

Might be a good idea to replace the gearbox mounting as well. These take alot of strain when an engine mount fails.

Could somebody please tell me the correct rating of the bulbs I need to buy to replace my HID burner. I've seen D2S 4300/6000k . I would just like the normal look, no silly blues or anything. I can't find which ones are standard. Has anybody ordered from eBay ? Thanks Mel.

On the bottom of the key that goes into the ignition it has the number 358 9145. Is this the mb part number ?

How do I tell if it's an original MB one, it can't with the car. Thanks

W211, I have 2 key fobs, one old black one and a new type chrome one. The range on the chrome one is very bad. Batteries ok, as replaced. Any ideas why the old style has a really good range and the chrome one I have to be next to the car. I like using the chrome one as it's in a lot better...

Thanks Auto-Mobile, I need to do the springs anyway, and lower arm bushes too. I believe they suffer from blocked breathers, so I will check this while I am in the area.

I need to replace the n/s output shaft seal on my W211 E270, are there any special tools that I need, i.e. funny sized sockets or Torx bits ? I'm an ex Jaguar tech, so have plenty of tools, but like to make sure I have everything I need before I start a job.

I have the same car, I cleaned the earth points from rear screen to the body, and checked connections on aerial amp. It's a little better, but it's still not as good as it should be for a car like this. No-one else seemed to come up with an answer. I will watch this thread with interest !

I thought the aerial on the roof on later models was for FM radio. Is it still in the rear screen on later models ? If so any tips on improving reception apart from removing wthe tints.

I own a 2004 W211, the radio reception is patchy due to light tinting of the rear screen. Is it possible to fit the later type roof mounted aerial to my car. Is the connection the same ? Will the co-axial reach ? Is there anything in the roof/roof lining to stop mounting the later type of...

I suspect I've got a slight boost leak. Any common pipes or joints to look and, and the best way to trace where it is coming from. I can hear a whistle now we are driving around with windows open. Thanks

Caliper pins removed, cleaned and lubricated already made no difference.

Hi, been away hence lack of reply. The discs are in good condition, the pads are brand new, the noise is more of a creak. I can reproduce the noise stationary. I worked on Jaguars for 13 years so am fairly confident it's not an installation issue. The old pads I tried some ' wurth ' anti squeal...
