The W210 mirror fits poorly and you lose your mini sun-visor. My basic auto dimming mirror costs 92 pounds shipped. Don't know about the UK, but in the US, you would be hard pressed to get a W210 mirror for that price.

I have a few styles available. Mercedes Auto dimming mirrors with Homelink & Compass Normal shipping to the UK is $45. To ship multiple mirrors in the same box, the price only goes up a small amount. The one shown in the pictures is what is in my 500E.

Leverage is the key. I have a 3 foot tube of aluminum that slips over the end of my socket wrench. Cost me something to the tune of 4 dollars, good investment and much cheaper than paying a shop to get it off.

Your cluster is matched to the rear differential gearing, so you need a cluster from the same model w/same differential gearing. There is a code on the top of the cluster that should be matched up to a replacement cluster.

The wheel/airbag (if in very good condition) is worth $300 to me :D

I have seen deployed airbags with the chrome star, it does not come off of the airbag, so assuming all goes well, your face only meets the deployed airbag. I would be very concerned with aftermarket emblems glued onto the airbag though, those would be dangerous.

Pre 1992 models had a airbag lifespan of 15 years. Post 1992 models do not require replacing.

The majority of problems are as stated. Owners using too much oil on the filters or oiling the wrong side of the filter. I have used K&N filters for over 20 years without any type of problem, even used a K&N in my CLK32k without any type of oil contamination problem in the MAF

The airbag with the chrome star was only available on the 2000 C class, also the airbag won't fit steering wheels older than 1998, so you would have to swap the wheel/airbag combo.

That would tell me your headlight trim panel is constructed from a 89 or older part. Probably also explains why your kit is different than mine as well. You have Talbirs 500e, correct?
