It's because you got normal halogen headlamps, they switch off the DRL's when the headlights come on. Only the Xenon headlamps have both the headlights and DRL's on at the same time.

Try map 4+1 mate, I wouldn't go +2 or +3 as that throws up the engine management light and limp mode for me personally I found map 4+1 to be the best with improvements all through the rev range

lol, your doing it wrong. When you press the button so the light comes on you actually switch them off, they're on by default when you switch on the car. its more of a visible guide and only starts to beep when your really close to something.

Hmm, I've never seen it happen and the headlights are always dirty. On my old car it used to be that after a continuous press of the stalk, roughly 8 seconds it will activate the headlight one. I'll ask someone to press it 5 times and stand outside and watch.

ok managed to change the map to map with turn by turn so shows the summary as well. Still cant figure out how to amend a route once planned to say avoid a certain road or part of the route and replan it??
