I think you have a problem with the brakes. You should whip the pads out, clean them and also clean the calipers and before refitting put plenty of grease. I hope this would help.

Yes the cable has something to do with the problem. If it was cut off reconnect it, this will help reset the unit. If it does work, good for you but if it fails again then you must have the radio replaced by your dealer or have it repaired. Replacing would cost you much but worth it. Good Luck!

Do you have operator's manual? If you have, try to look for answers to your issue. Otherwise, take your car to the dealer and have it check. :)

Try replacing the vacuum transducer. If you will still encounter problems check contamination in fuel filters and try replacing the light switch and brake.
