There was an update in 2006 which displays eta info at the bottom of the screen if that is what you're referring to, are you still on the original disc?

    Cls Blutooth.

Try your local MB car sales department, they usually remove anything not tied down when they put secondhand cars on the forecourt so they don't get pinched, this includes manuals and this type of thing, in theory they reunite them come sale time but it doesn't always happen. Mine came out of a...

W219 CLS63 Front Number Plate Plinth

Just had a quick look on EPC and it says part number is A2198170078 and searching only lists that part as fitting 219s.

    Mercedes interior box remained open

Take it out and have look first, mine did this and it was a five minute fix with a bit of stiff wire and some superglue from memory.

If you want Bluetooth music just get a cheap, £15-30ish, bluetooth to 3.5mm adaptor and plug into the port in your glovebox. Make sure you get one that supports Apt-X, if your phone has it, and you'll get CD quality sound.

    W211 E55 full decat

If you do a bit of research you'll find the first thing you should do with an E is swap the back boxes for CLS or C63 ones, you can cannibalise the rest of the system as much as you like but you won't get the results you're hoping for as the back boxes will still swallow most of the sound. If...

    Tyres Pressures CLS55 19"

    Trust 235/35 is a typo?

    Fooled me! Not!

I saw an SL55 for sale in LA that had been badged and bodykitted as an SL 65, V12 badges and all. Not like a 55 is anything to be ashamed of!

AirCon, why so long to kick in?

Best heat clearing technique is windows down until heat has gone, then close them and put recirc on so it's only cooling already cooled air.

    CLS55 AMG Service Intervals?

Fair enough, my point is they don't have fixed intervals like later cars though. In fact, I booked it into my MB dealer after the first year as I had been told AMGs were indeed 12 months, and when I turned up they apologised profusely and sent me away again, it went another nine months before it...

CLS55 AMG vs CLS350 CDI Grand Edition?

I'm the other way around, I was looking for a Grand Edition when a low mileage 55 came up at my local MB dealer. Always promised myself a V8 before thy became extinct so went to have a look but with several get out of jail free thoughts in the back of my mind, fuel, servicing and insurance etc...

    CLS55 AMG Service Intervals?

It's all in your service book, they have one change at 36k and then that's it. If you bought yours with more miles than that on it it 'should' have been done already so you shouldn't need to worry.

    CLS55 AMG Service Intervals?

Nope, the 55 was produced at end of the period they were letting the car decide when it wanted a service. There are several things that are done on two yearly intervals so that is about the most you'll get before it starts bleating

    NTG1 Sat Nav discs...........

Same here, been downloading and burning a fresh one each July/August time when the new ones come out for the five and a half years I've had her. No issues aside from the occasional one you've had which is generally a sign the disc is slowly failing so just run off another copy or the new if out...

    CLS55 AMG standard BHP

It's been standard practice for ages that manufacturers quote a minimum guaranteed max power so they can't be sued if one makes less and the majority will produce more out of the box, in some cases a lot more, but there's probably some poor soul out there where all the tolerances went in the...

    2008 CLS LED Rear lights.

The bulb version still needs the whole circuit board replacing, they're soldered on special bulbs, but not as drastic as the whole light unit granted.

What's that in my rear view mirror? Quite literally!

BMW have been doing it since the E39 5 series came out in 95 and it was a lot better than these even then. On the 211, 219 and probably many others of the era, it's those huge panels in the front and rear roof consoles that achieve the same thing but are quite distracting until you get used to...

Inner tailgate light partially not working

Yep, for intermittent electrical faults, dry joints are the first port of call. The angle of that connector doesn't look to clever though.
