I Have an S320 CDI 2007 with an alarm that keeps going off. I can live without an alarm. If I disconnect the siren, under the front whee larch, will it affect any other services or just kill the alarm siren? Thanks

You were right. The computer brain that controls the gearbox had failed which is a common problem with the 722.9 auto gearbox About £680.00 to replace. The gearbox does not need to come out. Problem now fixed. Thanks

My automatic gearbox intermittently gets stuck in a gear and the only way to reset it is to stop the engine and restart it. Is this a firmware problem or something more serious?

Thanks for your prompt reply. Definitely speedtronic. I did forget about the kick down, I will try that next time. Switching speedtronic off on the stalk doesn't solve the problem, I definitely have to stop and switch the ignition back on again.
