All sorted. Lovely soft shifts and into fourth at a sensible speed. It even shifts up nicely when its cold. It was an electrical fault on the shifter Gate. :bannana:

I have an old 1990 4 speed Auto in my R129 V8. It shifts fine both up and down. I have changed the fluid in the Torque Converter as well as in the box and changed the Filter. I have no problem at all with the shift quality but I would love to be able to get it into 4th at a lower speed or before...

Its a 129 and I'm in Liverpool. Left the Hard top on for now. I would have put it on if I wasn't on my own at the time. I may just buy the Pexiglass and set to it manually. Stag took more or less a full day. Cant see this being any different. I'll wait until the weather is warmer though.

Cant believe it. I have had soft tops for approx 25 years and never had this happen. If I ever lower one in the cold, then I have always religiously made sure the interior is red hot so the windows are nice are bendy. The Roof has been down for months while the car is stored but I had to move...

Maybe a potential buyer will offer 2K less. The Vendor accepts. The buyer is over the Moon because he knocked 2K off the asking price and considers himself to be a bartering God and got an excellent deal. Maybe the Vendor really wanted around 5k. He is quids in as well. Everyones happy.

Cheers. It still runs and drives ok but it marks its territory due to an Engine crack. I have just bought a complete spares car so hopefully I will have it all sorted in the next few weeks.
