    The forum

I guess that's forums and the internet in general at times. Quite a few times on Pistonheads I've had a comment/post I've made taken completely out of context just for the the individual replying to achieve a bit of cheap point scoring. I rarely bother replying but have in the back of my mind...

20 inch Vossen wheels CL63 and 65 fitting

Following the sale of my CL65 where the new buyer wanted the original wheels I have for sale a set of Vossen VPS 305 wheels. They were only on the vehicle for 3 months and cost in excess of £7000 I am asking £4500 they have had a Nano coating apllied and in perfect condition.

    My Lexus RCF

Of course, but my point is what do you look for after owning a CL65. As I explained after driving the M3 I decided I wanted something a bit more tactile that felt more alive, perhaps my being a Lotus owner for about 40 years may have a subliminal influence I don't know, but I had decided a bit...

    My Lexus RCF

I was talking specifically of my ownership experience, have you actually owned one yourself? As nice as the CL65 was that I owned and enjoyed for a year, it was my daily towards the end. Like the SL63 before it and my Porsche, then before that my Lotus (i could go on) the CL didn't seem to last...

    My Lexus RCF

In some ways you are right but as the owner of both I think I'm in a fairly comfortable position to say if in my opinion it's a worthy successor.

    My Lexus RCF

This is the night display it has a real air of quality about it, the large central rev counter changes appearance depending which mode it's in. Oh and being a bit of a hifi fanatic the Mark Levinson sound system is pretty bloody good. To an old fart like me having the option to only play one CD...

    My Lexus RCF

I've spent a very pleasant afternoon wasting loads of V-Power. Great car a bit more work to do than the CL but it loves the paddles being used and with 8 speed in the autobox a pleasure to go up and down the ratios. The active suspension works very well and I'm pleased i went for a later model...

    Winter tyres

I fully take on board the better braking figures when the weather gets cold and I still have my winter tyres. For the last few years down here on the South Coast though I haven't bothered to put them on, as there only seems to be a very brief spell when they are required but still I have them...

I agree, I remember years ago looking at the Lexus ISF and that was the forerunner of fake exhausts. Everyone does it these days, I'll have to look a bit closer at the RCF there are a awful lot of aftermarket exhausts though.

    Anyone fancy a CL65? Mine.

I have a very amusing story with the eastern block guys who picked up the Phaeton, it did fry it's electronics though so the deal with the W12 A8 didn't happen much to my annoyance. My friend has just bought a very late M3 V8 and I had a drive in that and liked it but when I saw the RCF at a...

I agree, but do prefer the RCF.

I'm guessing you meant the LC 500. They did have one there too I had a good look at it and a sit in it, lovely car but I didn't go much on the inside. The RCF is much more up my street bloody great big V8 and the combination of being a super quiet cruiser one minute then a hooligan at the press...
