    W203 sinking brake pedal

Update.. Nothing has worked, multiple pressure bleeds, 3x master cylinders, asb pump, no leaks... I'm taking it to a specialist now, if they manage to fix it I'll update, if not, scrap time. Shame for a minter really if it comes to that.

    W203 sinking brake pedal

You drove 150,000 miles with a pedal that crept to the floor? That's fair enough, but it's not for me!

    W203 sinking brake pedal

Interesting thought.... Could be the servo I guess. I feel it must be air really though

    W203 sinking brake pedal

Just bought a manual pressure bleeder, before my friend brings his electric workshop one, got a bunch of air out of the abs pump, made no difference at all unfortunately.

    W203 sinking brake pedal

I just acquired a low mileage c270 that's been sat around. Brakes were spongy when I got it, and I've just replaced pipes and discs/pads and manually bled it (getting no air coming out). Engine off, pedal perfect. Engine on, pedal good, but then continues to sink slowly to the floor. Since...

Do any OGs know what this old workshop tool is for?

Yes there are markings on them, the feeler gauge-type-thing could be true. Some workshop tools do have a "w140..." Prefix, like the hooks to pull out dash clusters, even though they are made for most models, not just the 140

Do any OGs know what this old workshop tool is for?

Hmm could be, there is a whole bag of those metal pins, similar size to headbolts.now you say it, but I don't know what they'd be needed for

Do any OGs know what this old workshop tool is for?

Any ideas what this was used for? I can't find that part number anywhere online.

What’s it worth? High mile E55 AMG

Cars don't get to that mileage without being maintained and having parts replaced. You also won't find a cheaper way to experience a 55k engine. Just buy it, you only live once, and if you lose half it's value that's still only 3k, and if you bought a super low-miler for £18k and the market...

Advice for buying my first merc

This is a 202 model. The subframe itself may have corrosion, but that's not a problem, it's not like on the 204 or SLK models where they actually rot. The MOT describes the mounting point (as pointed out above). Now, as long it was repaired properly (which should mean drop the subframe...

    Clarkson, The End?

I like how Amazon have taken a firm line with him. He doesn't stand for the same as they do so they will not be using him again, ever. They have morals are are sticking to them. Well, once s2 of Clarksons farm has aired, and they've finished making s3 and aired that. Oh, and 4 more GT specials...

Buying used car with known fault declared by the selling trader

I enjoy buying a car with a fault(s) and sorting them. But you have to be able to do it yourself to make it worthwhile, and accept that sometimes you'll lose out abit.

    Lovely collection.

I currently have 6x MB's and hardly put any miles on them, but I just enjoy owning them, enjoy improving them, and at some point selling at a small profit or small loss and buy something else to enjoy. It's a hobby. I have a friend who currently owns 12 cars ranging from MBs to jaaaag, rolls...

    W212 Vs W221

I had a 221 S320CDI with every option available, and it was the best car I've ever driven, yet I somehow didn't bond with it and sold it after a few months.
