Need an advice on a Car wax

I've bought a lot of products off www.cleanyourcar.co.uk and found their products to be of top quality, they also have a great range too. I love the Victoria Concours on the Bug, and Dodo Juice products are excellent specialy on the darker colours.

    Hello from Dublin.

Thanks very much Bazzer1. I don't know as it drove into the driveway and was in very good condition when it went in orginally. I bought this car without even driving it and the owner have lost the keys, so I haven't even got to lift the bonnet, will have to wait until Mercedes make me a...

Mercedes Star Gaurd or pay detailer?

Detailer all the way. Seen a Mercedes done recently from a MB dealership and wasn't impressed with Star Gaurd, plus the detailer would be nearly cheaper.

    Burst fuel line :-(

Yes they can make a mess of it, they can use the wrong fuel lines & use wrong clips. Although if you trust them and know their work to be good then you've nothing to be worried about.

    Hello from Dublin.

Thanks John Jones Jr, I agree fuel will be flushed and I was actually planning to change the fuel lines and clips, I ordered the fuel filters off Mercedes (one after the tank? and one in the engine bay). I'm planning on turning the engine by hand, fresh fuel and with a new charge hopefully it...

Well I hope so, but I hope it will run. It hasn't been running for the past nine years although its low miles and drove into the driveway. I've a feeling it will, is their any guides I should follow recommissing this or open a new thread?

    Fuel Consumption W124 250D.

What should I expect to get? Presume the manual gearbox will be a little bit easier on fuel. (Don't expect to get massive MPG but just as this is my first Mercedes I'd like to know what's right within reason, I cannot find a thread for the fuel consumption of W124 250D).

    Could of been nasty!

Yikes!! :wallbash: You were very lucky, best to replace the three other springs or just get the mod to stop it rubbing the tyre.

Taking a car to the South of France

Myself & a friend drove from Dusseldorg, Germany to Cherbourg, France last November in a Mexican beetle. I really enjoyed it and the roads were excellent although the Belgium motorways were very poor. We did the drive in 13 hours which should have been a lot less as the bug was running a 1600...
