    Hey ED, cant wait to see the car all done, thou am loving seeing the WIP shots. as it is this car will have the looks for its sting, after all its faster than the C32AMG and just as fast as the C55 :) I miss my boosted w124 :S but on the up side i am geting the AMG ready for a turbo install.

    Hp update Finally had my ECUs fine tuned so now i am up from 210hp to something like 215-217 hp, and 205 lb-ft. And now with my 6% shorter diff my car hits 60mph in 7secs dead and 100mph in 16.5 secs, gr8. lol. ya the other day i raced an e46 bmw 330i auto and by 105mph i was just over 2 cars...

    man before u start ur conversion, u have to check all sensors for the 4matic and the wire loom, then there is the front end reinforcement especially for the front spring seats the ones that hold the top of the spring as they r known to crack on 4matics even after reinforce. then don't forget...

    For the 300-24 BHP The w124 300-24 should have around 231 bhp at 6500Rpm and around 197 lb-ft and is redlined at 7000 rpm. and i love the evo by the way. A close friend has the evo VI @ 330BHP and it is more than scary. It is amazing how dedicated this car is.

    The 5 speed box oh the the five speed has similar first 4 gears, with an over drive 5th. It is prone to more trouble too and will set you back at least 600-700 pounds as second hand. i don't think it is worth it.

    Car manufacturers play it safe.... Do u think car manufacturers give you an engine built to its limits? The certainly do not, my E300 has been chipped (210 bhp instead of 188) and revving to 7000rpms for over 110000 miles and still going strong. U just have to know that now it is being run...

    Moded W124 I have a 1992 W124 E300-12 valve engine (m103), mind u this is the 9.2 compression and not the 10.1. Any ways i had the injection ecu and the timing ecu modified, it now revs to the 7000 rpm soft cut out and the engine produces: 210bhp@6000rpms 162bhp at the wheels. not bad for a 12...
