Wife's pasenger door mirror is crack in a couple of places, must have had a knock whilst parked because she doesn;t remember it happening. I assume you can just replace the glass but is it a DIY job or do I need to be prepared to take one for the team at the Stealership? Any info...

Went out in wife's C180 Esprit Auto last night. Turned corner, outside lane, floored throtle - nothing. No kickdown. Slightly worried I stopped at the next set of lights and on changing to green floored it. The car accelerated well but seemed to be stuck in a gear (2nd or 3rd?!?). Now...

Anybody with this feature having problems with it? The reason I ask is that this is/should be a handy feature for anybody, but particularly for me with a manual and a particularly awkward parking space at work. The idea is that you give the brake pedal an extra kick and it engages the brakes...
