    190e 2.6 Engine Stops

    I know I have seen this before somewhere but... 1991 190e 2.6 auto. 170K Sweet as a nut but for no apparent reason stops now and again. Changed the big black solenoid (back of the fuse box) with a used one from Dronsfield. Lasted 4 weeks. It stopped again today. Still a dodgy solenoid...

    Pfm! I now have a functioning heater system. Combination of detached vacuum line to valve and half the silt from the Clyde in the system. Reattached line, flushed system (Holts) - brilliant! Thanks to all. Brian

    Love it. But there are times when driving the 190e (Smooth as silk) when I miss the thrill of not knowing if the MG is going to come out of the next corner on the road or in the ditch! Yours Aye Brian

    Greatly appreciated gents. As the car had been laid up for some time (I suspect) before I bought it just over a year ago, I will drain off the coolant system and recheck before I do anything else. Thanks to all who contributed. Thanks also for links to other MB info/parts sites. PS. Life...

    !90e Heater Flow Valve I think I found the flow valve you talked about. Tucked up between the bulkhead and the inner bulkhead, engine bay, drivers side. Plastic thing with a white lever on it (What's that for?) I found a vacuum pipe dangling and this is now replaced - but no discernible...

    190e 2.6 w201. Heater always blows cold air no matter where the selectors or blower are set. Ideas where I should start? New to MB. This one is 160K, still silky smooth automatic Brianm :confused:
