Update....its injector 4 puffing! Oh well the garage I got it from can fix that. I was looking for the part number for the unit that has "the small white bit" and its pa6 6 gf35 which is a cap for the alternator pulley. I dont think that part needs replacing just the white end

That's my issue. Done a Google search and nothing. Been to Eurocar parts and they didn't even know. Said try a dealer

Agree. 250miles for 50 quid or so is what I average a week. I'm lost....however I am going to clean the black death aftermath at the weekend and will check all the hoses. Relating back to my issue. It's only when the engine is warm will it amit the steam from what I can see

Knowing a main dealer it's £242 per wheel....so make sure the spare isn't in. No seems a good price for a car like yours.

I thought from the description of a pal who fitted my thermostat that I had "the black death"......check out the bodge job if injector 1 which the garage I purchased the motor from said they repaired. I think I will pay for a professional to sort then send them the bill.

I haven't done any cleaning nor will I it will be the garage that fixes the problem. I popped the bonnet when got home and the battery could be the issue with smoke, however there is no rotten smell you associate with a troublesome battery.

This is an issue for me as well. Had limp mode on a couple of occastions, so took it to a local independent dealer I could trust to give it a once over as was leaking something and garage I purchased from was miles away. Well injector 1 has been bodged up and is leaking fuel, so needs fixing...

Sorry to hear your troubles. This happended to me once, and in a smiliar fashion.

I used to get 50mpg door to door and 66 on a run in a new Honda Civic diesel. Driving an ML those days are long gone :(

My RX8 ran like a dream. Drank like the QE2. Pitty mine sold for next to nothing as it was rotor tested at 7.5 across the board. Loads of bad examples mean they are dirt cheap.
