    C180 W203 ABS,ESP,BAS message

Quick Update: Had a mate of a mate look at the car. I'm not too clued up mechanically about cars so excuse the lack of technical terminology. I was told there was pressure building up from the engine causing oil to spurt over some of the wiring and electronics. From what I could see there...

My w203 is in urgent need of some TLC. Advice required.

Hi all, I've had my 2001 w203 since 2005 and have been very pleased with it so far. I have been very busy over the past 2 years and have hardly spent time in London so the car has just sat unused on the side of the road for long periods. I am now back in London and have just noticed the awful...

    Leather (gaiter) painting

Just a thought but you may be able to use leather shoe paint! May sound a bit ridiculous but i recently put my trainers in the wash and the paint peeled off:crazy: . I bought some Dylon shoe paint for around £3.50 and it can cope with stretching. You can also mix two colours to get your desired...

    Launch of new C Class

Mate you are spot on. I remember posting on these forums about 6-9 months ago when the interior spyshots were released. I was then of the opinion that the facelift w203 looked better than the w204. I thought the w204 interior would grow on me but it still hasnt. It may however look better in the...

    c200 miles per gallon

I've done a fair bit of mileage this year in my 2001 c200. Returns about 33mpg for motorway driving when i have my foot down and gives about 36mpg at 70mph. Driving in town in an auto is just ridiculous so i prefer not to maintain any mpg stats in my head! Regards

    W203 - Aftermarket audio system...steering wheel compatible?

Hi all Had my 51 reg W203 for about two years and the standard audio 10 cd player is really bugging me. My main gripe is the inability to skip through tracks which means if i want to listen to a certain section of a single i have to start at the beginning. Are there any aftermarket units...

    Xenon Look-alike bulbs?

Howard... that is spot on. For your type of driving on unlit country lanes the Silverstars are definitely an improvement on standard bulbs. I do however question the 50% increase in visibility as quoted by some manufacturers. I guess what it boils down to is the type of driving you are...

w203 C200 - noisy and slight lack of power

Hi huys thanks for the replies... much appreciated. There are no warning lights inside and the car does improve slightly once warmed up. Once the car has started to move it sounds ok... its only when moving from a stationary position it is quite loud. The thing is i drive with my windows...

w203 C200 - noisy and slight lack of power

    Using a hotels broadband connection

usually the hotel will give you a card with a code. You will need to connect to the wireless device and then open internet explorer (or equivalent). This should take you to the providers homepage where you will need to enter the code on the card. Voila..... you are free to surf!
