Booking Channel Tunnel return journey from France

The Eurostar every time for me, but I’m in Kent so it’s still the start of my journey, I would imagine if you’ve travelled hours to get to the crossing then the ferry may be a welcome 90 min break (if you can stomach the waves) I recently travelled to Ghent and then Brugge for Christmas markets...

    New MB pricing

The fun of the negotiation is short lived imo. If I’m buying something of any value, I make sure I want the product first, ensure the price is fair and inline with the market, then finally enjoy the service given. If any of these 3 factors go wafty, I don’t buy it.

    New MB pricing

I think the point is any savings for all/certain models are applicable in a uniformed fashion nationally. Renewal incentive for loyal customers are common place and this is no different. If you’ve got one MB and you’re replacing it, why shouldn’t you get some kind of loyalty over a conquest...

Mercedes boss: Haggle free new car sales is working – and it’s what our dealers wanted

I think agency is a good thing. Some bizarre rationale in here imo. The likes of 10k saving etc is a cool story bro, but in reality, if the offer was 5k off, for everyone, nationally, available in the same timeframe, no messing around, from your local or preferred centre - you wouldn’t buy...

    LINGUATRONICS (EYE ROLL)

As mentioned, the voice controls pre MBUX are all pretty rubbish. I seem to remember a 'hack' that if you press and hold the voice activation button on the steering wheel it'll then activate Siri which may help a little

C220d - what coolant to top up with?

I'm no expert, but I don't think mixing colours is ideal. Pop to MB dealer and buy some pink/standard stuff - won't be expensive and at least it'll be right.

    Diamond cut refurb or not?

Matt black all over with a cut outter lip like the latest C43. The outta edge will probably corrode but never looks half as bad. Change the centre caps too and it'll look like a new car.

    New Alloys! Any Aftermarket Recommendations?

I’ve used alloywheelsdirect.net years ago and heard good things recently. I tend to stick to OEM if possible. My days of Azevs or Momos on a Cossie are long gone :)

Newbie looking at a GLB !

Earlier ones were available as 5 or 7 seat before the default changed to all 7 Facelift later this year in line with the rest of the A Class family. Worth the wait? Spec seems to have improved but you pay for it in price increased! Engine in a personal choice, all very capable so depends on...

    C43

Buy it!!! I presume you’re talking about the outgoing one hence the 0% being offered, maybe look at the interest savings to make yourself feel better. Great cars, will lose money as they all do, but that’s the cost of enjoying a warranted 400bhp 4wd AMG with a noisy exhaust button. Also...

    Removing suction marks from glass

I know what you mean about the suction marks. I always assumed they were from the factory installation of the glass. Not sure of a remedy I’m afraid!

Mercedes residual values under agency model

The concept of leasing companies in recent years is to get excess stock registered and on the road. Now there isn’t excess stock. Monthly payment led customers are now just getting priced out of the product and brand - and MB hearing that people will now be going elsewhere as the alternatives...

    Replacement Front Grill

As what you’re after isn’t your cars standard spec, nor UK spec, they won’t be able to help. I think Germany MB along with some other markets had the old style grill so you may have to shop abroad or aftermarket. As that grill is not uk spec, you will run the likely risk that it’ll just look...

    Tailgate badge placement

When I’ve bought these before they normally come with a framework around the badges to help locate and position. Can’t really describe it anymore than that but when you get the badges you’ll see what I mean!

    Appreciation of lack of Deprecation

I like these kind of tables and calculations! Always good to keep track and look back on. I can’t help but think that as the market has changed an awful lot in the last 2 years, the purchased and sold date has more to do with the figures than the cars themselves.
