ZO6 landed and nearly road legal

One pic from back in states. Took lots on the N95 but it decided to die. Will take some fresh as soon as. Before any one comments, the interior is a little sparse I know but that engine!

Thanks. Blue with black interior. Sounds like a war cry by a viking who has just had his viking girlfriend stolen by an inferior. Cant really describe it any other way but just brutal.

ZO6 landed and nearly road legal

Hi Well the zo6 finaly landed in chatham docks a couple of weeks ago and is being prepped for its sva test in a couple of weeks. All I can say is what a fantastic car! The UK cold air has given it a new leash of life as its far stronger than when it was out in the states. Also, the return...

    Thanks and farewell

Thanks John. They arent bad at all actually on fuel and i'm pretty sure that the conventional manual will allow at least 20mpg even on our roads. Most of my driving is motorway anyway so anything over 20 will do fine. I honestly can't describe how quick these are (not that Im turning into a...

It's all in your perception The C6 is the same width as the 997 Porsche !!!! Z06 is three inches wider due the the massive rear tires. Cost wise the Corvette is the least expensive super car that one can purchase. The 2008 C6 is using a new LS3 motor which produces about 40 more HP. These...

    Thanks and farewell

Its actually quicker than many sports cars round a track. Must admit most of my use will be motorway and dual carriageway, where I will reign as king. Hoping to get the big medallion to make it complete.

    Thanks and farewell

The choice was between a 996 turbo, e63 or one of these. Its a family owned car from new so I'm getting a good discount. I drove it a couple of months back and even in the california heat it went like stink so imagine what a cooler climate will do! It's going to cost substantially less even with...

    German Cars

I really wouldnt worry too much at all about LHD. Lots of scare stories but in my opinion just stories. I've bought 2 from abroad and now expecting my third. 2 previous were both 911's and apart from the sva test I had no problems. Insurance was with Direct line and Norwich Union. One of them...

Going to be around 35 days transit time so will drop you a pm around then. Will defo post some pics. Does this forum have any amg meets as would be great to see how it would fare against them (purely on the race track of course!)

    Thanks and farewell

Im sure I will stick around as its a fairly jovial community and the porsche vs amg discussions are fascinating! 2006 ZO6 vette on its way and boards the ship for chatham docks on the 19th August so I'm behaving like a little child at the moment with no patience at all. I really believe that...

    Thanks and farewell

Folks I will no longer be frequenting this forum as my Mercedes ownership has come to an end. I've finally sold both the E55 and 911 to make way for a cracking american import. Many thanks to all those who have helped with posts etc. This has been and I'm sure still is a very useful club and...

    cam/rocker cover leak saga

Yes, once by a specialist and then again myself. Took lots of time and care, oiled the gasket slightly, made sure it was sitting right and tightened the screws just enough without over exerting any pressure. It's leaking from exactly the same place as when the specialist changed it. ??

    cam/rocker cover leak saga

Hello folks I'm getting very impatient with the E55 and its oil leak. As some of you know I posted a while back and got some useful info as to possible causes. Well over the weekend I decided to change the gasket myself. Drivers side is the one causing the problem and the leak is at the back...

    Unlocking a mobile phone

Locking is done to prevent handsets being swapped to other networks and because Orange put their own custom software and user interface on the device. I know it's a pain as i don't like the default set up that is on all new phones. It costs about £30, you have to send your handset in and can...

    Unlocking a mobile phone

I work for Orange on their legal side so can confirm that unlocking is not obligatory and can be, and is, chargebable. hating orange is a little harsh though!

Folks The E55 has been in the workshop for nearly 2 weeks but the delay is due to the front bumper/spolier being on back order from Germany. They can't give me an eta so does anyone now where I can source a brand new one for them sharpish? Thanks
